Description
Zebras are social, herbivorous mammals known for their distinctive black-and-white striped coats. Native to Africa, they typically live in herds and are closely related to horses and donkeys. Each zebra's stripe pattern is unique, much like a human fingerprint, and helps with camouflage, social bonding, and protection from predators. There are three main species—plains zebra, mountain zebra, and Grevy’s zebra—each adapted to different environments across the continent. Agile and fast, zebras rely on their speed and strong social structures to survive in the wild.
